How to Use WVRJA Daily Incarcerations (Step-by-Step Guide)

West Virginia Regional Jail Authority (WVRJA) is a correctional facility that is operated under the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (WVDOCR). This facility has three sections, i.e., prisons and jails for adults, juvenile facilities and reporting centers, and parole services offices.

Every offender will enter the WVRJA database, and their information, including their status, release date, and current location of detention, will regularly be updated, which can be accessed on the daily incarcerations page.

So, how do you access it, and what information will you find on it?

About WVRJA Daily Incarcerations

Daily incarceration is a page on the WVDOCR website for doing an inmate search. Since it is updated daily, the available information about inmates will also quickly change.

It is not surprising that when accessing it, the information available may be different from before and may not reflect the inmate’s actual current location, status, release date, or other information regarding the offender.

The information in daily incarcerations is believed to be accurate, but the WVRJ does not guarantee the accuracy of the information, either express or implied, because this will be influenced by several factors, including when you access it.

Also, WVRJ is not responsible for the use of such information for any inappropriate or inaccurate purposes or disclosures arising from its republication by individuals and agencies, whether public or private.

Regarding the potential penalties that offenders may receive shown in the database, these are not intended to reflect the events underlying the criminal conduct. Instead, such reference must be made to the records of any court that has jurisdiction over the offender.

It’s important to note that the latest or most complete may not always be available due to issues related to existing data conversion.
