How to Add Funds to Your Inmate’s Debit Securus Account?
There are a few steps to add funds to your loved one’s Debit Securus account. And, it is definitely very easy. You can do that without any hassle. As you know that the Debit Securus account is owned by your inmate and the account can be funded through your direct contribution. With the funds in the Securus Debit account, your inmates can use it to pay for Securus services such as phone calls, video connect sessions, media tablets (music, movies, and games) and eMessaging stamps.

There you need to fill out the Express Payment Blue Form completely. For each MoneyGram Express Payment transaction, there is some information that must be provided.

- Firstly, pick up the MoneyGram phone. It is going to auto dial MoneyGram Customer Service.

How Can an Incarcerated Loved One Get a Refund from Securus Debit Account?
If your incarcerated loved one is released from the jail, do not worry about unused Securus Debit account balance. Your incarcerated loved one can get a refund from Securus Debit account. Upon release, the inmate’s unused Securus Debit account balance will be available to take at any Western Union retail or agent location in the state where the inmate was released. Need to know that Western Union will apply a fee that reduces the total refund amount. Normally, a refund will be available within two business days after requesting a refund is received by Securus. So, please be patient.
To prevent fraud or money laundering, all refunds more than $100 from Securus Debit account will be evaluated. The process will need to take up to five business days. - After that, Securus will give you a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for the approved amount. For your information, the MTCN is a 10-digit number set to every Western Union money transfer to track and transaction identification.
- After you have a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN), you can visit a Western Union location in the state of your inmate’s release and show the MTCN and a Photo ID to get a refund.
Removing a Securus Debit Account – Here’s Way
Apparently, a Securus Debit account cannot be closed. It can only be removed from view online. If you want to remove a Securus Debit Account from your Securus account, follow the steps below:

- After that, you can choose the Securus Debit Account you want to remove, and click the trash can Icon.
