Once you add a card as a payment method to your JailATM account, you can now use it to send money to an inmate. To make a deposit on JailATM, you simply follow these steps:

- On the JailATM homepage, you can click “Send Money Now.”
- Log into your account.
- Then, select a state and the facility where the inmate is incarcerated.
- Enter the inmate’s name or ID. Then, click “Search.”
- The next page will show you the results of inmates based on your search; make sure to select the correct inmate.
- After clicking the inmate’s name from the list, you can enter the amount of money you want to deposit.
- Now, you can select your card to make payment, and don’t forget to enter the CVC code for the card you’re choosing.
- Then, check the terms box.
- Click “OK.”
- Before sending the money, you have to review your deposit.
- If all is correct, you can click “Send Money” to continue.
It is important to note that if your card is enrolled in a payer authentication program, whether it is Visa or Mastercard verified, your card issuer may require you to enter your payer authentication password to complete your transaction.

Either you’re using Visa or Mastercard for payment methods on JailATM, you can take advantage of the payer authentication feature to verify that you’re the proper owner of the card.
